What People Love About Cary

It's hard to believe that Cary is home to 160,000 residents. Since hundreds of close-knit communities are scattered all around town, it's easy to embrace the small-town lifestyle that's unique to each part of Cary.

Downtown Cary, for instance, is where most of the town's oldest homes and businesses are located. This area has experienced a renaissance in the last few years, revitalizing its charming streetscapes and adding new developments (including the cool Downtown Park and upscale Mayton Inn) in keeping with downtown's historic character. In the growing West Cary area, however, virtually everything is brand new: neighborhoods, schools, shopping centers, and parks.

There are plenty of reasons behind Cary's steady growth over the past few decades. While the town's proximity to Research Triangle Park and Downtown Raleigh certainly plays a big role, people also love Cary because of its small-town vibe, excellent schools, diverse community events, fun outdoor destinations, and variety of homes and neighborhoods.
